Which goes to show that you can find a photo of almost any celebrity with almost any reprehensible person.
Piers is a former gutter journalist, who worked for a number of British tabloids. Some might say that he's actually the reprehensible person in those photos.
I don't often praise Jeremy Clarkson, however the only criticism here is that he didn't hit him hard enough.

I know nothing of his past, other than he's virulently anti-gun and occasionally says something funny.

He was editor of the News of the World, quite possibly the sleaziest tabloid in Britain, which is really going some. A newspaper that was eventually closed down after the phone hacking scandal. One of the people whose phone was hacked was a murdered schoolgirl.
He wasn't editor at that point, but it gives you an idea.
I wouldn't be too sure whether he's particularly anti-gun. He knew it would get him publicity when he had a show in the US.
Now, he hosts a breakfast TV show in the UK. He's basically a professional cunt - as in, he says lots of controversial things which get him airtime and publicity.
Oh, and Jeremy Clarkson punched him in the face at a party.

However I'm watching Piers on the morning ITV show and he's theorising that it could have been Charles or William who might have expressed concern, and that Harry ought to have named the person because now the whole family is to some extent painted with the same brush.
On the second point, the fact is that any royal title was withheld because of skin colour is untrue, whatever Meghan may feel. The rules of the Palace prohibit Archie being a Prince. Any charge of racism on this count is untrue.

It's just the narrative they want. The rules of succession and titles have been established for a very long time.
I mean, crying racism works for everyone else, why not them? I'm sure someone made the comment, but I seriously doubt it was in the context of 'well, they'd better not be dark'.
