I hear they are trying to get OJ to make the presentation.

      Since Charles Manson isn't available.

Not yet, but they are working toward it.

Quite easy to get nominated for that prize. I was actually surprised how easy it was.

The bigger question is why should we even care that BLM is nominated?

Why should we care that the social movement behind the fascistic Seattle neighborhood takeover, and the never ending Portland riots, and many other destructive but less well known riots in 2020, was nominated for the Nobel peace prize?

Because it speaks to important western social ideas, held most strongly by high status white liberals.

In that case if BLM wins the Noble Peace Prize, I reckon some folks have a legitimate right to grieve the decision. I recall some folks disputing the award going to Nelson Mandela. Others felt that Barak Obama wasn't deserving either.

The award really doesn't matter, does it?
                  I don't remember when I stopped caring.

I don't know much about what Mandela might think, but I suspect Mr Obama would strongly approve of BLM winning the award.

318 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020. Long list, bound to be lots of clickbait in the pile.

That does seem like a lot. However the fact remains that American pop culture would largely embrace a win for BLM. God knows a large majority of high status white liberals would.

Regardless of American pop culture and what it thinks, other than very little, BLM has become an international movement. There were plenty of BLM sponsored protests and demonstrations in solidarity with what was happening in the US, up here last summer that did not result in riots, looting or seizures of public spaces. BLM also joined forces with the various indigenous groups against systemic racism. The only time problems arose is when groups of local rednecks and reactionaries showed up and deliberately provoked a fight. Usually the rednecks got their sorry asses whupped but good by the indigenous allies - you know, Larry's bro's. - of BLM.

I have no knowledge of whether that did, or did not, happen in countries other than the US.

I watched much of Chicago and my neighboring suburbs burn with no redneck involvement.

BLM's real success will not be measured with whupped rednecks

BLM's success will be measured by dead police
