    How are you doing?

      OK

The temperature is down this morning

I have had no olfactory problems, no GI problems, and only minor stiffness in the chest, very little coughing

I haven't seen the weird stuff, so at the moment I'm optimistic

I feel like I'll have aches for a few days in the muscles and joints.

I will take it very slowly, I cancelled golf for at least 10 days.

And I will continue to hide from my wife, she sat next to me at the dinner where I'm sure I caught it. She tested negative and has no symptoms.

Glad your wife tested negative. When my mom got it, some medical professional told her that it was inevitable that her roommate, my dad, would get it too. She felt bad about it, but she gave it to my dad, too. Regardless of their precautions. But, they both came out of it fine. I hope that is your outcome too.

It's a process. Watch yourself very closely for about seven days. For most people, if things are going to go South, it happens in that timeframe. If you don't have an O2 sat monitor, get one. Handy thing to have with this disease. Get worried and seek immediate medical help if it gets down to 90%, even after taking a couple of deep breaths.

Second piece of advice...Do not come roaring back after those seven days. I've seen multiple people make themselves worse (i.e., drop dead) by pushing real hard after they think they've turned the corner. Well, you haven't. I'd give it at least two weeks before easing back into regular activities, emphasis on "easing".

          Take care of yourself.

Hoping the relatively mild case stays that way, and improves quickly.

Be lazy - pretend you're a Democrat and look for others to take care of you. 😉 Seriously, hope you have the wimpy version of this.

Glad to hear your body is handling it well so far.

One theory links severity with viral dose. I wonder if that will stand the test of time.

So far everybody I know (including me and Steve) that has had it feels sick for a few days, then feels better for a few days, and then it really hits them hard. The guy across the street came over to return something after he was “not sick anymore” and the next thing I knew he was in the hospital on oxygen and hooked up to IV’s for several days (he is fine now). My brother also went through a feel better phase, and then it hit him like a truck. No supplemental oxygen for him, but he was completely wiped out. Like up for an hour then back in bed. (He is also finally mostly over it - and he started feeling sick a few days after Christmas). So be super careful - even when you start to feel better, take it easy.

I hope you have only mild symptoms, and that it passes quickly.

About the same today, mild sore throat, some aches, fatigue

Rick, from the Virginia Department of Health, just called following up on my positive test result.

He was full of questions and offering help with dealing with the covid. I gave him the answers and I don't need help.

I didn't take any action to report this to the VDH, maybe it was my PCP. Somebody is out there watching. Which is fine with me.

Olfactory, taste, GI, lungs - no symptoms.

I guess I got the good covid.

Hopefully it doesn't worsen. A close friend's 90 year old FIL, experienced similar mild symptoms at Xmas time that never progressed beyond what you describe and he is now back to normal. On the other hand, a colleague of my wife lost her elderly FIL to Covid within a week of testing positive, yet his wife, who also tested positive at the time remains totally asymptomatic after six weeks.

It's a crap shoot with this virus at the best of times.

                            Elbows up!

That’s weird... We didn’t get any calls when Luke had it.
