Biden White House’s First Press Event

Hard hitting questions from our watchdog media:
"Jen, first off, congratulations. One question about your role. You touched on this a little bit [inaudible 00:05:11]. When you are up there, do you see your primary role as promoting the interests of the president, or are you there to provide us the unvarnished truth so that we can share that with the American people."
"Let me ask you on policy if I can quickly. Obviously, your role is sort of in terms of delivering the best information to the American people on behalf of this White House. The battle for truth maybe is top of mind right now, as is the battle against coronavirus. How do you and President Biden plan to combat disinformation that in many ways led to that assault we witnessed two weeks ago today on the Capitol?"
"Can you talk little bit just about kind of the preparations for getting the White House ready and safe for the President, the new President. It’s been reported that you did a $500,000 worth of deep cleaning. Could you talk about the measures that you took to ensure that the president has safe?"
"And then could you just give us some color about what it was like for him going into the Oval Office? He’s been waiting for this for so long? What was his reaction?"
(I was waiting for the "How does it feel?" question!
"will he keep Donald Trump’s Air Force One color scheme change?"
"How does President Biden plan to recover the United States’ image around the world? and what is his priority globally?"

Something I was reading that it is definitely a “honeymoon” time.
Have to see if it changes.

WIKI: "Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who serves as the 34th White House Press Secretary in the Biden administration. Previously, she served as the Spokesperson for the United States Department of State and held various senior press and communications roles in the Obama White House."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^She needs to get a mask on, though.

I think these people are happy for themselves.
Mainstream outlets deserve to be criticized for their increased tilt towards ideology vs. facts. But that aside, I'm thinking the journalists are just happy to have more status back.
These are people who rose to the top of their profession and work on a prestige assignment for prestige new outlets.
I'm guessing they expect the new administration to "play by the rules"

Again.

Or maybe they're happy the Washington party circuit is coming back.
