"Sen. Tuberville? Or I should say Coach Tuberville. This is Rudy Giuliani, the President's lawyer," he said according to to the transcript.

"I'm calling you because I want to discuss with you how they're trying to rush this hearing and how we need you, our Republican friends, to try to just slow it down so we can get these legislatures to get more information to you," Giuliani said, referring to unfounded claims of voter fraud in the presidential election.

"I know they're reconvening at 8 tonight, but it ... the only strategy we can follow is to object to numerous states and raise issues so that we get ourselves into tomorrow -- ideally until the end of tomorrow."

This is wrong because it exhibits little concern for the safety of the lawmakers? Just wanting to clarify because all of the statements here apparently assume we are all understanding of the unstated position.

How many times have President Trump and others say something like - "we have evidence. We will show you soon,"

This is one more example of this.

So, what were they going to show if the certification was delayed? Why did they not release anything?

        (Maybe because nothing was there?)

          In other words, a nothingburger.

            On both sides.

I think it is bad that he was calling people to try and have them change/delay things when they did not have any evidence. But does not surprise me. Doesn't improve my impression of President Trump but does not dis-improve my impression of him either.

The biggest takeaway for me is while the Capitol was being invaded, he was more worried about calling a congressman instead of calling the national guard.

Except the timing is off. Congress was still operating normally after the call concluded. But it’s a good rant.

                      You're completely full of shit.

Trump first called the personal cell phone of Lee, a Utah Republican, shortly after 2 p.m. ET.

The Capitol was broken into at 2:11 pm. Barricades were breached at around 12:30. Trump knew what the situation outside was before he made calls.

                      Please love yourself.

I saw a timeline of Congress and when they were alerted and when Pelosi left her perch on the floor. I am not going to bother to google it. Go ahead if you think I am so full of shit.
