Photographs show that some people brought sledge hammers, ladders, handcuffs and appropriate weaponry for the assault. It was not spontaneous though there likely some folks who got caught up in the moment.

It was a mostly peaceful tour of Capitol Hill.

It was! Literally it was. I think the majority of attendees didn't engage in illegal activity. Like BLM, there's the question of how much that matters.
