If you’re a sitting president, who is lying about an election (that you majorly lost) being stolen, and telling his supporters he loves them after they just invaded the Capitol to try and prevent the peaceful transition of power... at some point you’ve crossed the line. Many many many times crossed.
Remove him. By 25th or by impeachment. He’s the complete opposite of what American Democracy is all about.

Good. The beginning of real rules on the internet. They are now accountable for moderation. That will help stop a lot of the nonsense. Let’s see their criteria.

Maybe Trump will just move his "tweeting" to Parler.

The thing about the "public square" argument is that a public entity typically constructs a public square.
You can't claim a popular tavern as a public space because it happens to do well.
Twitter is a private entity. The government can spend a bit of capital to construct a twitter of their own (it's not a technically complex platform)

What we would be interesting is to see every tweet that incited violence by every public figure.

The video has been taken down (from various platforms, not just Twitter), but this site still has the transcript up if you want to read what Trump said in the (since deleted) video:

I didn’t want to derail this thread but I had the same thought, specifically those encouraging the BLM protests that led to riots and looting.

Were those accounts suspended?
A genuine question. I don't know whether they were or were not.

If you are one of those supporters, violent or otherwise, this suspension just adds fuel.

How cute - the Trump haters are embracing censorship.
That will make things much easier for you fools when the Left bends you over a table and shoves one up your asses.
