Ignore the Chinese words in the preview screenshot, the narration is actually in English.

      Movie title is “Lady Bloodsport”.
All women martial arts film, rather bloody.

When a mainland Chinese film crew tries to stick King Kong, Big Foot, Sharknado, and Indiana Jones all into one movie:

              Old American kungfu movie.

Trigger warning: even though it was made in the pre-woke era, it features women and minorities as the heroes and a white man as the villain.

And no, the cover is not a frame from the movie.

I particularly like the “rotating” bridge shows around the 19:25 mark and the rolly polly bridge right after.

The Wilburforce pendulum part is good, the part on quantum superposition is perhaps a bit contrived.

To retaliate against the lameness of Ax's picks, I would like to recommend "Black Sea". Definitely held my interest through its 90 minutes. Playing now on Netflix.

                                  Education is extremely important.

On your recommendation I put it in my queue and watched about half of it.

Jude Law is amazing in this role - talk about "gritty."

This is "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" meets "K-19."

                                    Pretty gripping so far.

@horace I have to say I found the second half a bit disappointing. It descended into a lot of typical "adventure movie" tropes.

                                        1. The hero who misses his family
                                        2. The unstable guy who threatens to kill the mission
                                        3. The ultimate sacrifice of the hero
                                        4. The unlikely guy on the ship who ends up surviving
                                        5. The surprise twist about the true nature of the mission

Many, many, others. I'd give the first half 3 stars, the second half, two.

                                        Not bad, but not great.
