We've had some regular mail seem to make it through the USPS faster than priority mail. We sent a priority mail envelope to Springfield - hasn't gotten there in a week. Holiday cards we sent the same distance arrived the next day.

Today, I ordered a microphone that is shipped UPS. They claim I'll get it on the 24th. I do not believe that - but we'll see...

I had a package ship here from CT on 12/9.

On 12/14 it arrived in White Plains

          No updates since

I pinged the vendor today, they said USPS is slow

          Thanks

Something I ordered from NYC was supposed to arrive over a week ago. No updates in almost 2 weeks. I’ve heard of massive delays, luckily this item isn’t for Christmas and isn’t time sensitive. Anyone else had similar experiences?

Update: No update. I’m guessing my package was left in a pile of “screw it, we’ll deal with these after the holiday rush” packages.

Everything that did not arrive in time came today. Better than I expected, but piss poor for things ordered 12/4.

Funny stories. On the flipside it does make me appreciate UPS and FedEx and their ability to ship so efficiently, flexibly, and accurately most of the time. And Amazon’s ability to estimate your delivery date within milliseconds while browsing products.

I’m still waiting for several USPS packages not that I care that much. Will be returned now that the holiday has passed and the gifts don’t matter. I wonder what the remedy will be on the holiday cards ordered just after thanksgiving.
