A nice French Rose sparkler, then moving on to Rigatoni with Spicy Calabrese Ragu! (sounds so much more elegant than wine and leftovers). Christmas cookies for dessert. Red wine with the pasta.

Tomorrow night daughter will cook - Red Wine Braised Beef Short Ribs over polenta, plus homemade focaccia.

The Vesper Martini is definitely shaken, not stirred. James Bond named it, so it must be good, right? It is. Oh yes, it definitely is.

It's a smooth and elegant beverage served in the traditional martini glass, chilled of course, but not iced, and it's perfect for the holidays.

The recipe in the video below calls for lemon peel, but we prefer it with orange peel.

Breakfast and lunch were Elvenbread and Earl Grey. Yes I took annoying-ass pictures:

Dinner was Sword Coast Seafood Bouillabaisse, Evermead for the drink, and Meal's End for the dessert.

Glad you like Wild Fork. I had my first Naked Wines bottle last night and tonight. Very nice. Oregon Pinot Noir.

Christmas Eve is always too hectic to cook around here. Tonight we had takeout from the Ramen place near 89th’s place...

Tomorrow I’ll reverse sear a Beef Tenderloin with a horseradish sauce, glazed mushrooms, crispy Brussels, and sweet potato.

For the rest of tonight it’s St. Bernardus, Vince Guaraldi, and swearing at unassembled toddler toys...
