By the way, Amazon announced that it's renewed for its sixth (and final) season. Cas Anvar (Alex) will not be in that season, presumably because the allegations of sexual improprieties have some teeth.
Gonna be interesting, because there's A LOT of story after book 6.
Major Spoiler from the first page of book 7:
||“Chrisjen Avasarala was dead.
She’d passed in her sleep on Luna four months earlier. A long, healthy life, a brief illness, and she left humanity very different than she’d found it.”||

I believe I read somewhere that there might be a season 7, despite the announcement you just mentioned.

The authors are saying it is really a "pause" rather than a cancellation. Only Jeff Bezos knows for sure. We should all give him a call.

@george-k That article confirms what my article said, " Speaking during a recent press event, Franck (who co-writes the novels with Daniel Abraham under the pen name James S.A. Corey) explained that he doesn’t really see the show as being canceled but only on pause (via Polygon)"

Yeah, book 6 is a nice place to ... pause. But there's SO much more story. After all, the last book, coming out this years is titled "Leviathan Falls."

George, you need to get Cat TV for Boris. It's on YouTube. My daughter's cat sits mesmerized...they have birds, mice, squirrels, you name it.

Watched the first episode.
So many balls in the air.
I have a feeling they're going to begin to fall in the next episode.

I really wish they'd keep making this. The more I watch, the more I like it.

The show or the after-show talks?
The show has a green light for Season 6, you know.

The show itself. I never watch all the other stuff. They do a lot of that with Doctor Who, and it gets a bit much.

wrote on 17 Dec 2020, 14:21 last edited by@doctor-phibes I have to admit, it took me 3 tries to get past the first 3 episodes of Season 1. It was "What the HELL is going on here?"
And then...it all starts to make sense.
It is truly epic in scope, and with the books all already written, it's not going to lose direction. I just hope that they wrap the story from the last 3 books up somehow.

I've now watched the first two episodes.
Episode 1 was a little disappointing. Too loosely connected seemingly random plot points.
In Episode 2 it starts to become more coherent.
Looking forward to Episode 3, presumably tonight.
