The chairman of the Texas Republican Party has suggested that secession may be the answer.
“perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a union of states that will abide by the Constitution.”
I’m sure that would please some forum members.
...Hey, I'm in.
What’s this? The Confederacy 2.0? Confederacy, the Next Generation? Confederacy 2021? Confederacy+? What’s your preferred branding?
We will call ourselves The United States of America, you can call the shit holes your side keeps The Communist States of China.

Ah, no.

Larry thinks the election was stolen and that Biden didn’t win. Even though he won by a landslide by Trump’s own standards. Larry thinks I’ve been 100% wrong the whole time even though it’s documented I’ve been 16% wrong the whole time (Pence, not Haley as VP). Once Larry returns to reality, only then will it make sense to try and engage in sensible debate.
-
What I don't get is how people kept believing in it. How many times do you have to see fact-lite, argument-lite filings get laughed out of multiple courts, including by Trump appointed judges, before you figure out what's going on?
It's like they just love being the chump. Every night they lose all their money at the poker table but the next day they're like Flounder in Animal House - "You guys playing cards???"
-
And before @Larry calls me a communist, I equate those who think the election was stolen to those who blindly believe the BLM narrative of white cops killing blacks. 2020 has really shown me how shallow some people are in terms of gullibility or whatever the right term would be for putting trendy emotion over logical thought.
-
Funny you should say that, 89. I have thought quite a bit about what those two narratives have in common. I considered writing a long post about it and posting it both here and at WTF to let the equal-and-opposite reactions help prove my point.

@jon-nyc I know it’s frustrating because some things appear so obvious, but just like the poor shmoes who scream out that the corona virus doesn’t exist as they breathe their last gasping and dying breaths, people will keep screaming their fiction about the steal, and some will honestly believe it even as joe Biden raises his hand for an oath on the capitol.
Thats life. Complicated.

89th thinks Biden won. He actually believes he won by a landslide. He's convinced himself that he's been right all along. And then he says that only until I accept that as fact does it make any sense to consider what I say. 89th has never once even considered the possibility that he might be wrong.
This is classic Leftist. "I'm right, you're wrong, so shut up."
Biden did not win this election. If you actually believe he legitimately won, then you are a fool. Period.

In addition to what I just said...sometimes I follow on Twitter people who are real outliers...say flat earthers, the corona deniers, the rabid antisemites, just to see how far people can go with their beliefs..
These people, not the bots, but the people, truly believe in some ideas which I think to me are just beyond any rationality.
I see the The trump won by a landslide people in the exact same light. People who actually believe this stuff. It’s fascinating.
-
Yeah, I made the analogy to 9/11 truthers.
-
All 3 of you sons of bitches can kiss my red ass. I'll not sit here and let you call me an idiot. Or the 70 million other people who agree with me.
The election was stolen. Only an idiot would claim it wasn't. So shove your condescending commentary up your asses.
-
U can add to the list the moon landing deniers. Forgot about them
-
Joe Biden has won this election so many times now, he's now the 68th president of the United States.

Republican service announcement:
Hey gullible MAGA losers, keep sending your money to "Stop the Steal" and "Trump 2024" so I can divert it to prop up my failing hotels and golf resorts.

Yeah, patience for a great prediction that we'll all be dead long before is proven wrong. Congratulations on your genius prediciton that will never be testable within the lifetimes of anybody listening to it. It's a great way to pronounce one's genius without ever proving it.
