I remember when it was the yobboes who were the ones wearing masks.
-
Americans in Guy Fawkes masks. Another British tradition fucked up.
We set that twat on fire.
-
Fucking jackasses.

Live free and die.

I like too how much of an overlap there is between people who revere the vets who stormed the beaches at Normandy, and people who absolutely cannot handle watching Netflix at home so as not to put their neighbors' lives at risk.
One of the motherfuckers protesting in Annapolis this past week was legit pissed over the fact he couldn't get a haircut. That was his gripe.

These same people are also the ones slagging off millennials and "libtards" for being a bunch of pussies.

The Anti-Mask League lives on. You'd think with all this "liberty" talk that's being thrown around there'd be a little appreciation for early 20th century history.

Ever stop to think they may be right?
Country is going to open back up for business. Some changes will be made, but you might as well stand on the tracks and hurl insults at the incoming train. The train doesn't care. The train just knows it has a house note to meet and the kids need shoes.

You're actually advocating for no protective measures? None? Because that's what these people are saying.

At this point, how wrong or right are they? I'm not going out unmasked, but I understand the view that no matter how hard we try, infection is almost a surety.

So you no longer understand the difference between more infected, and fewer infected? Do you really not understand that fewer infected people is better than more?

I understand much better than you do.
I would sure as shit hope so.
I also understand the opposite viewpoint. I understand the frustration of some people.
Believe it or not, I do, too. My entire D&D group is out of work. I feel like an asshole for not having the same problems they do. And I'm not against them going back to work but can we please dear God do it safely? Everyone wears a mask, and we could safely reopen pretty much everything tomorrow. Wouldn't that be awesome.

That being so I don’t understand why you thought the patrons of wal-mart (I’d rather lick the hospital floor then go again) were so obtuse.
Maybe because these may not be quite the same critters. Maybe they don't want to wear a mask, but they don't mind social distance. Or maybe they're ok with certain mitigation strategies for older or high risk people, but not themselves. Or maybe they're just tired and ready to take their chances.

When they take their chances, they put everyone near them at risk, too. That's the entire point of this. If they can't be trusted to do anything to contribute to public health, because "freedoms," then yes, we need government orders.
