He never ever will in my opinion. Now ask me about McConnell and other GOP leadership.
What I don’t see is how Trump squirms away from being so isolated like Hitler’s last days in the bunker. I expect it doesn’t look like that but I can’t see his next three moves.

He appears to me to have enough people who believe pretty much everything he says to be able to continue to destabilize the institutions of government and self-promote in one form or another.
I've always felt that he was the political equivalent of one of those dreadful televangelists who for some reason seem to do so well over here.

I'm amazed how many people downplay what Trump is doing, as though it's all perfectly normal and acceptable.
When a few of us said a few months ago that we could envisage that Trump wouldn't accept the election result and try to cling to power, I seem to remember being laughed at.
This country is nuts.

I don't imagine it will amount to anything. Yes, this is a downside to Trump, and it was predictable. But it's not a big deal IMO.

Meanwhile, those on the left never take any personal responsibility for the riots and violence every time some racism narrative can be constructed and viralized from an isolated incident somewhere in the country. And then, of course, they expect riots and violence if Trump is defeated. Now look at it. Were there any?

But to be fair, Williamson’s comments were a response to the news conference given by Trump’s team.

I might as well take responsibility for wiping out the Native Americans.

I suppose it comes down to whether personal responsibility, in terms of social ideas, is something you think about. I trust that every non sociopath takes personal responsibility for their local situation.

By and large I think the people who are responsible for the rioting are the people doing the rioting. Politicians who fail to condemn them or egg them on should take responsibility, but just because I think that greater gun control and a universal health care system would be a good idea, doesn't mean I have anything whatsoever in common with people who set fire to shops, attack people they disagree with, and steal widescreen TV's.

But then you choose to voice outrage one way or another. It's just an indicator, I'm not saying you said one thing or another. But we choose what we say.

You mean, after the absolute Schiff Show inspired by turning the FISA Court and the FBI on its head and using KGB disinformation tactics on American citizens, you're worried because Trump is using his legal rights in court?

He doesn’t need the law on his side for much of this, just corrupt legislators and bureaucrats that will subvert democracy for him. I’m afraid those won’t be hard to find.
No @Jolly , quite the opposite. I’m pretty confident our legal institutions can prevent any autogolpe. My concern is when it comes down to a handful of legislators or bureaucrats as they are much more corruptible. See my first post in the thread:
