Speaking of Pizza

Just wondering about some of the "Big Chains" for pizza. There's a place that's local to us, with a grand total of 4 restaurants. I absolutely love their pizza, and ordering online gives me all kinds of options: thick/thin crust, well done/normal, toppings on one side/toppings on everything.
Anyhow, I've never tried some of the national brands: Papa John's, Domino's, etc.
How bad are they? Is it worth the experiment?

They are all bad in my experience.
But remember, pizza is like sex. When it’s good, it’s great. When it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.

I've been a fan of Home Run Inn pizzas since, well, forever. We can get them delivered fresh, but somehow, the frozen taste better. It's a very different taste (sorta like Skyline Chili is different from regular chili), but it's really quite good. A small, "ultra-thin crust" Home Run Inn is a great lunch (and only about 300 Calories!).

Jet’s eight corner pizza is the only commercial I will eat.

Papa John's is usually OK, I get thin crust pepperoni, light on the cheese, well done
I used to go to the original Dominoes in Ann Arbor for bacon pizza, that was really good, since then Dominoes chain stores in VA are mediocre, but if you need a pizza it might suffice
Chuck E Cheese is where you go to let the kids make noise, the pizza is pretty weak
Although it is usually served on site, Carrabba's thin crust pizza can be delivered it is very good, cooked in the brick oven

Used to feed my crew the Dominoe's carry-out $7.99 3-topping 14 incher all the time.
They never complained.
