We'll let POTUS know later

Curious what it really means. Before like hours before? Or days?
Not sure how critical it is anyway. Biden was clearly the winner by the time they announced it and the information isn't even directly actionable. They can't apply for emergency approval until they reach the 2 month mark on their safety data which is next week I think?

It's still not clear that Biden won anything.

Can you post the text? It wants email to proceed
This is from a column by Roger Simon.
Here's another version of it:
Former Vice President Joe Biden was informed of Pfizer’s successful coronavirus vaccine news before the nation’s incumbent chief health care administrator, Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar.
“I, as Secretary of Health and Human Services, learned about this from media reports on Monday morning,” Azar said Wednesday during an interview with Washington D.C. radio station WMAL.
On Monday, the pharmaceutical giant announced that its coronavirus vaccine candidate showed to be 90 percent effective in large-scale clinical trials, putting the end of the pandemic that has claimed the lives of almost 250,000 Americans since March on the horizon.
“If the Biden campaign found out Sunday night but you … didn’t find out until Monday, that sounds like there’s a problem there,” WMAL host Vince Coglianese said during his interview with Azar.
“There certainly was a gap in communication, let’s say,” Azar responded.
According to RealClearPolitics, White House staff fumed at learning of the vaccine through the media as opposed to directly from the company as Biden did.
While Drs. Moncef Slaoui and Anthony Fauci openly contradicted the president’s campaign statements that the U.S. was reeling towards a vaccine, Monday’s announcement proved the president was right.

That's just false, based on a poor understanding of the process. See my long post from the summer about the distinction between the timing of efficacy data and safety data.

By the way, George, that link in the Federaliast doesn't show them taking Warp Speed funding, it describes a contract for future sale that is conditional on FDA approval.
So they were correct in saying they haven't gotten any funding from the Feds for this.
eta: same with your link.

George, so the Pfizer CEO never called Trump?
I have no idea who called whom. What is clear is that the administration learned of it from the news media according to Azar, and that happened after the Biden team was informed.
A senior White House aide told RealClearPolitics that the administration only learned of the vaccine from news reports. Biden, meanwhile, was notified the night before. He offered congratulations and heralded the breakthrough as a “cause for hope.” But he told the country to keep covering their faces.
I wonder if they have proof that Biden was notified before.

If so, that's truly, truly shitty.
But exactly what I would expect...

Oh come on, guy. They got nearly 2 billion dollars before they even had a product to sell.

Ah, no they didn’t.
