Maybe the voting public has changed.
But my guess is there will be a shift back to classic conservatism on the right.
Otherwise the party will slowly erode and whither.

He couldn't concede now if he wanted to.
There has to be some recounts and appeals. It is just too close to do otherwise.

Look at the influence that still exists from the Tea Party. And Trump populism generated more black and Latino support for the GOP, than has been seen in many years.
The George Wills and David Brooks of the party are dead or dying. I think that the GOP will start to grow with more blue collar support, especially after Biden starts to tax them and take some of their better paying jobs away.

No, I'm looking at the enthusiasm of the populist faction under Trump. These guys are already eyeing the House in 2022.

It's a little funny, actually. If Biden was the one having to fight right now, every damn one of you who are yanking on Trump would be behind him 100%. It's also funny how some of you insist that it's the Republican party that needs to change.
The one good thing that might actually come from all this is the DEMOCRAT party may change. And that's the party that needs to change, not the republicans. It already could be happening. The moderate democrats seem to have grown a little spine finally, and told the "progressives" that unless they stop with the Socialism talk and get more to the center they will face a blood bath in 2 years. They are correct. They seem to be fed up with Pelosi as well. Also, the "squad".
There's nothing the Republican party needs to change, as long as the don't allow the never Trumper neocons take over again. Whether you like Trump or you don't, he changed the narrative that said the democrats were the "party of the people" to the republicans being the party of the people and the democrats are now seen, rightfully so, as the party of big business.
Some of you just don't get it. It wasn't that we loved Trump personally so much, it was that we loved the things he was getting done. No one can take that away from him, they can only undo it. And if they do undo the things he accomplished, it will either be the death of America, or the death of the democrat party.
I think Biden won. I don't think he won because anyone likes him or Harris. He won because so many people hate Trump. Most of those who hate the man do so out of ignorance, and the smaller and smaller pool of people still able to tell shit from shinola. Trump's legacy may just be that he exposed enough of the corrupt government machinery that BOTH parties were a part of. Time will tell if the American public is smart enough to take advantage of it, though I don't hold out much hope for that. Between the media and the shallow thinking of many people today, most likely the establishment will drown it and we will go back to marching headlong off a cliff. Or maybe the moderate democrats will throw Pelosi and the "squad" to the dogs.

If Biden does not change some already stated objectives, or if the GOP Senate cannot stop him, there is going to be major economic hemorrhaging...Take New Mexico...New Mexico has two major industries, tourism and the oil fields. The oil fields are mostly on Federal land.
Between Captain Lockdown killing the tourist industry and ending fracking in Federal land leases, New Mexico is in very bad shape.
That's one state among many...

I just don't Trump conceding here at all. He's fine making huge fraud claims with innuendo and vague accusations - nothing the courts do / say will counter that, even by inauguration day.
