The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

He expected a Tesla vehicle to be a vehicle that makes financial sense.
Not an expectation that I would have for a Tesla vehicle.

Well, the Model 3 is pretty affordable, if you don't go with all the performance and software options ($35-$40K).

What I found interesting was his discussion of how charging time estimates are WAY off, and how a 10 hour road trip ended up taking 15 hours because of charging (and the cost was 90% that of gasoline).

For someone like me, who drives only about 10K miles a year, and almost never travels more than 50 miles, I could make a Tesla work. But our condo's infrastructure just isn't there, and it would be prohibitively expensive to run a 220V line to my spot in the underground garage

If only you could charge electric cars with the power of self-righteousness.

          I was only joking

Video was way too long to watch. Also his opening of “expect some level of perfection” lost me from a statement perspective.

Wow, that's an annoying YouTube channel.

Not that I'm filled with envy and indignation at the grave unfairness of life, or anything.

              I was only joking

Agreed - way, way, too long.

I'll take issue with one thing you say about "the level of perfection." Tesla's been plagued with all kinds of quality-control problems and some interesting/frustrating design flaws. Everything from poor matches of panels to a roof flying off have been reported. You'd never see that kind of crap on a Toyota, or even a Chevy.

One of our managers got one recently. He said the car's great fun, but the quality of the paintwork is surprisingly poor.
