Excellent news. Dying I am not so afraid of. Dependence I am. Glad to hear your father is largely able to take care of himself.

Right but we’re your parents originally from WI? Or did they just move there for a spell?

My mom is from CO and my dad is from KS. My parents actually lived in San Francisco for a while, and Japan, while my dad was in the Air Force via the ROTC. But he's a veterinarian by training from Kansas State, and at some point was offered an opportunity to work at the University of WI, at its primate research center. He was the monkey surgeon. That all happened before I was born, so I'm from WI. My parents retired back to where my dad was born, when I was in my late 20s. It's a bit confusing between KS and MO because they are right on the border. They didn't really retire though for another 10 years. My dad worked at a local pet clinic, and my mom worked as a nursing professor at a local college.

      Education is extremely important.

My mom is COVID positive. Strange since the disease isn't prevalent there. We don't know how it happened. She had a cough when we talked on the phone today. My dad is doing better. My mom is only worried about my dad and whether she'll give it to him. Not a bit about herself. My dad hasn't been tested. Now they're social distancing in their home. My mom keeps to one room and my dad to another. He's independent so it's all ok for now.

          Education is extremely important.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. Is anyone around that can take care of her besides him?

Man, that's tough news! I hope her case is light and things go well for your dad.

Hopefully her symptoms will be mild and short-lived.

It is so worrisome when someone contracts it, and the question is, "how the hell. . . ?"
Hope it's a Trump version, fast lane to recovery!

My finger is in a holding pattern, but I think and hope it gets a little bit better every day. I do fight against the scar tissue. My mom's symptoms are light. But my dad was tested and he's positive too. So these are sensitive days. Maybe in a few weeks I'll have some more confidence. Thanks for asking Kluurs.
