I get uncomfortable finding myself saying crap like that, too. I guess I'm sliding into old age as well? Either that or I'm just a cheapskate bum. At least one of those is true.

    Please love yourself.

The first time I was in Manhattan in 1978 I bravely or foolishly drove. We parked near the WTC and I was outraged they wanted TWO DAMN DOLLARS to PARK!

I paid $75 for an 8 hour park (self park) downtown Chicago two years ago.

I believe it. It was only $20 to park down near the pier in 2005.

The first time I spent over $100 on a dress, my hands shook so much I could barely sign the receipt.

What? Even in Streeterville, an 8 hour park is about $25.

But yeah, in 1974, we went to see Boris Godunov at the Met in New York. Parking was $25 then.

That’s probably what a day pass to DisneyWorld cost in 1974.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The first $5 beer I bought was at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square in 1988

                      That was a shock

McCormick Place, 1979 or so, at a NAMM convention. Went hungry all day because a ham sandwich that consisted of one piece of luncheon meat ham and a slice of plastic cheese between two dry pieces of stale bread was 8.50 and a can of diet coke was 6 bucks...

Your post inspired me... It wasn’t too long ago that I would pay $5 per a pitcher instead of $7 a pint. So I did a quick google search and found that Buffalo Wild Wings still has a $5 pitcher special...Of course, the pitcher is 38oz...🙄
