    Elections have consequences

Hillary promised to destroy the coal industry

There are a lot of people around here happy that she didn't. We supply coal to the world and a lot of it passes through Newport News.

Sooner or later some democrat will eliminate a lot of jobs in this area. And with them a reliable source of energy that is getting cleaner to use. It even works when there is no wind and it is dark outside.

Coal jobs have dropped under President Trump.

I actually dont blame President Trump for this. You can't save coal jobs. Cheaper, cleaner, available energy is there. So, if there is a choice, coal is not at the top of the list for energy companies.

(and actually, coal jobs get a lot more "press" than probably they should. From my read, there are about 50000 coal jobs in the US, about 0.04% of the workforce)

The front page headlines in the Detroit Free Press every day are about the auto industry.

The front page headlines in the Washington post every day are about politics.

The front page headlines in the Daily Press (here on the Virginia Peninsula) are about shipping and shipbuilding.

I have subscribed to all 3.

This is the biggest coal exporting port in North America.

There is no such thing as too much press about cars in Detroit.

@Copper Sorry, but I am not sure I understand your point of view with your comment?

Are you agreeing with my comment or disagreeing?

          (sorry about that)

he's more wishy washy than Charlie Brown. waaa waaa waaa.

To think, he annoints with his sceptor, only those states that are part of the Trump fiefdom. California bad! Then his handlers tell him, "you can't do that! Don't you want to be reelected?" Flip flop hippity hop. Another ride on the chaos wagon. Whoo hoo!!!!

Geees, I just don't get it. Especially here. Smart intelligent gents and dames, and still , they refuse to admit the god's honest truth of who this ogre of a human is.

                Look at the bright side.

If he's re-elected, you'll have something to occupy your mind for four more years!

Given that you've been wrong about everything so far, perhaps it's time you considered the possibility that it's YOU that's wrong. Again.... as usual.....

It's been utterly tedious over the past years to attempt to explain to TDS sufferers that Trump doesn't need to be perfect, or even bereft of reasons to consider him totally icky, to be considered a better political choice than his opposition, by reasonable and decent minds.

                      Education is extremely important.
