Or, he's resigned himself to losing. Note that he is going to push Barrett through, if it kills him.

Or he thinks it will make better election fodder to explain why.

Do you think he's that noble? Pushing a SCOTUS appointment over his own self-interest?

I was going to start a thread about this.

              1. He's trailing by 9 points (according to many polls)
              2. He wants to cut off the stimulus which will prevent people from getting a handout another check.
              3. More businesses will probably go under, particularly restaurants
              4. He walks away from the table, and Nancy says, "Who cares? I'll be here in January, you probably won't."

              Possibilities:

              1. He's tired of being POTUS
              2. SARS-CoV-2 has caused neurological damage

              1. Side effects from drugs he's still taking to deal with SARS-CoV-2 that's still in his body.

He’ll reverse himself in a day or two.

And a case can still be made that the reversal may be due to him changing his COVID-19 meds then. 🙂

Does "the market" not know that Trump will change his mind?
Or is "the market" telling to Trump to change his mind, "or else!" ?

Or is the market so volatile, that news of any kind moves the graph?

                          The correct over/under is “hours”:

Trump says he will back specific relief measures hours after halting talks

Trump simply inserted himself, I don’t understand why no one saw that coming.

Trump inserted himself only to reverse himself a few hours later, a rather incompetent move.

Oh well, at least @jon-nyc saw Trump's "reversal" coming, just a bit off with his timing (reversal in "hours" as opposed to reversal in "a day or two").
