I saw saffron mentioned in Jon’s new recipe thread so it touched a taste bud nerve.
We have risotto Milanese with saffron a lot, esp in winter. I grew up on it as a kid.

Interesting.
I wonder about #3 - tritium. Says used in clock dials to illuminate them, yet says it costs USD $30,000/g.
Not too many clocks I know are that expensive.
Also says it is exponentially higher cost to produce. Maybe can be made artificially?
Anyway, a fun article.
