If it was a Dem held Senate in 2016, what would have been the results?

Yeah, all the excuses in 2016 were ill conceived and regrettable. They should have just said “we have the power to block any appointment and we are going to use that power in the interest of those voters that elected us.”Today they should say”we have the power to appoint a nominee and we are going to use that power in the interest of those voters that elected us.”
Senate elections have consequences.
Very wonky article but has a lot of history and facts behind it
Good article indeed, and when you consider it was written 6 weeks ago it seems prescient.
Someone commented, referring to RBG’s alleged dying wish about delaying the nomination and vote that, if she were that concerned about the nomination, she should have stepped down when Obama was president.
But we all knew that Clinton was going to win, didn’t we?

She has my respect, but that respect does not encompass dying wishes for how government shoud proceed.

As I said earlier, and as I said when Trump was running for President, her interjection of her personal opinions into politics cost her a lot of respect points in my book.
A jurist should respect the law and constitution, as written. To say that you're thinking about leaving the country if OrangeMan wins, in one statement, undermined any credibility she had.

Never heard that term. It's perfect.

Those gushing over the hypocrisy card will soon discover that Biden is already on record as strongly opposing packing the court.
This is the guy who just lost his Senate primary, isn't he?

Is there an upper limit in the constitution?
There is not.
I suggest 350MM members.
Democracy, FTW!
[tangent] Before the Internet access is ubiquitous, there were logistical arguments to favor representative democracy over direct democracy; now it's down to our own shortcomings. [/tangent]
