What bothers me about the trump veterans brouhaha
-
All this just confirms what I said. Whether it happened or not is irrelevant. What’s painful is that it’s obvious that it’s conceivable.
It’s inconceivable that Biden would make such a statement.
It’s also inconceivable that Obama would make such a statement.
Hey it’s even true that Pence would never say it.
But Donald, yea, he really could have.
-
It never ceases to amaze me at how gullible people are. An "anonymous source" tells a leftwing news rag something negative about Trump, they run it in the news, everyone who was in the room when the alleged incident allegedly took place says it didnt happen, and you hear shit like "well, even if it didn't happen it COULD have happrned." Give me a fucking break. Where have we heard this before.... golly gee, this is the first time something like this has ever happened, the Left/democrats would NEVER lie, they're so morally superior!!
You can expect a minimum of one "gotcha" story per week until November. The Left, and the democrat party, have no shame, no principles, and are vile, evil pieces of shit who think the public is stupid.
Stop proving them correct by buying into bull shit every time they roll out another pile of it.

So Trump doesn’t go to one cemetery in a helicopter due to weather but goes to another closer one by car in the rain the next day to honor fallen American soldiers and let’s his hair get wet.
It just deconstructs a couple of the arguments by the “anonymously sources.
What I posted are facts, what others posted are allegations.
-
So the next day we see Trump pay tribute to veterans in the rain with no umbrella to protect his hair (wtf was that allegation that was floated this week) where he says something on the order of the vets NOBLY gave their lives to secure the peace...
Context you will never see in the MSM and their anonymous allegations. Like I say always do your homework before believing the propaganda foisted at us.

Are the "anonymous sources" telling the truth about Trump disparaging the veterans. That's possibly true.
Are the same sources telling the truth about Trump not wanting to fly there? That's patently false.
So, if they lie about one thing, why should you believe them about the other?
Here's what the Atlantic reported:
-
Yeah, I get it. Trump is a vain, boorish, arrogant SOB.
In my opinion, he really is.
But, how unhinged is this reporting?
"Trump rejected the idea because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain..."
And you said that with a straight face. Did the Atlantic's "anonymous" sources say that, or did they just make it up? My guess is the latter.
He's an obnoxious prick, as I said. But if you're going to make ridiculous statements like that, back them up, preferably with names.
BTW: Did the Atlantic report on the next day's ceremonies (too lazy to look it up)?
-
Turley comments:
"The real story this week is not whether Trump or The Atlantic are lying but why either possibility is viewed as equally plausible. The public is left with an incredible tale told by two equally noncredible sources. That is the real story — and a truly sad one."
Yeah....
"Two equally non credible sources..."
Many here will say that Trump lies. Will they have the same opinion of Goldberg and The Atlantic?
-
Yeah, and EVERYONE that points out the obvious still needs to cloak their position now with, "
I am not a racistI think Trump's a jerk, but..."
We have been trained by TDS to always point out something negative, before sticking our toe in the water to carefully and cautiously present a perspective that is not anti-Trump.I wish they would do it.
Could you imagine people, MSM or including forum members prefacing, "Although Trump has done much to be commended for..." before they slam him with innuendo?

We will stipulate his faults. But I think what Atlantic et al does is much worse.

You made the point i was trying to make in my last post, but more eloquently. Since I’ve had considerable wine tonight That could be expected.

You say that as if it's a bad thing...
But, to return to the thread.
Based on the emails, it's obvious that The Atlantic has lied. If you're going to apply the "lie" standard to Trump, apply it to The Atlantic.
