I’m not sure if a small crowd is worse than no crowd. When there’s no clapping everyone gets it’s because there’s no live audience.
But this small crowd just sounds like golf claps.

Better with even a small crowd.
Easier on the speechmaker, also.

Worth thinking about how no former GOP president or presidential candidate participated or was asked to do so (to public knowledge anyway). Hard to imagine the dead ones participating had they still been living.
Contrast that to the DNC, where every living president and candidate had a speaking role.

@xenon said in Republican National Convention (RNC) - 2020:
Hell - even the people who literally support him don’t really care for him
So how are we gonna throw these people under the bus for this I wonder?

Same general message can be made about Biden. Replay Kamala attacking Biden over busing...

Those clips are embarrassing for Trump, but they are also embarrassing for the persons in the video. How somebody like Ted Cruz can support Trump with a straight face after what he said about him is beyond me.

Those videos are all before he was President and they seemed to have changed their mind after he became President and showed them what he was capable of.
You could conjure up about the same of people attacking Biden.
This is very old wine in new bottles.

How about zero presence of former presidents or even nominees from the party?
That’s unprecedented.

It is and yet this election may be close? What does that say about the other side?

Well the fact that all living presidents and First Ladies and every living nominee spoke, says they’ve managed not to get hijacked yet. Key word being ‘yet’.

It says the other side has more support from former Presidents and former Presidential nominees. The side that has no such support sucks bigly.

“Across their respective four nights of programming, the Democratic convention averaged more than 20 million total viewers per night in the 10 p.m. spotlight viewing hour, compared with 17.4 million total viewers for the GOP convention.“
The TV viewership numbers are in. The Democratic National Convention has won the TV viewership comparison.
