But who goes to the airport for an elaborate meal? Unless one has time to burn to wait for a connecting flight, I just want to get to my destination.

I quite like the Legal Seafood place at Boston Logan if I'm not traveling on my own money. I can't think of a single other thing I like about that awful place. I fly from Providence if at all possible.

In my case I'll often have a decent meal before an international flight. The main reason is the variability in commute and security transit time at JFK. To build in enough buffer (especially since we pretty much always check bags) I usually end up getting there well in advance of the flight. Especially if it's an overnight flight to Europe, it's convenient to eat first so I can sleep as much of the flight as possible.

I always get to flights early, even internal ones, so I have a nice meal. I've got stuck in traffic often enough to make it worthwhile. Another feature of flying out of Boston is Massholes with boats driving through narrow tunnels.

Legal at Logan is very good. I used to enjoy a great dinner at the top of the Hyatt in Orlando airport. I've only been in the commuter terminal at La Guardia.

Never been to the legal seafood at Logan though I’ve been to the one across from the aquarium downtown.

Been to that one too. The best one is Legal X at Downtown Crossing on Washington St. that’s their experimental kitchen.
