I agree with @andrea-b . Things that happened at 24 or earlier do not disqualify him now.

Of course, if the same things are happening now (and they seem that they might), then it is a problem.

      The disclosure.

Two incidents, one when he was in college, and four years later.

I'm shocked, shocked, that a college student got drunk. Even more shocked that walking home from a bar with his buddies he had to pee.

      Horror.

Thank goodness there are no drunks in congress.

      I love you long time.

Most people won’t read past the headline, it just looks like additional confirmation that he has a drinking problem. His behavior with the US hockey team also reinforces it.

He did this to himself by filing a DOA lawsuit. But maybe Trump will be fooled. Though I hear he doesn’t have a lot of patience for drinkers.

It must suck being a career FBI agent who takes his job seriously to be used to prop up the egos of small men. These guys probably can't wait to turn page on these clowns.

Not a good look for him right now.

I love that it’s the same reporter. He must be so pissed.

Stencil branded bourbon. The real money is in making your own liquor company like all those celebrities do.

(Probably) not illegal, despite the "Director Kash Patel" branding.

                    Horrible, horrible look. For sure.

Do you think someone might have pointed this out?

                    I love you long time.

I’m sure the writer at the Atlantic did.

Yup. There was a good podcast about folks in the director's orbit, and how a few quit after getting tired of the photo ops and social media updates, instead of focusing on the mission. As one of them said, and I'll paraphrase, you were asked to do things on a daily basis (such as investigate someone who yelled nasty things at a protest) that would be easy answer of "what not to do" on boring corporate style annual ethics/regulation training exams at the FBI.

I took it to mean he was investigating internal leakers, so she wouldn’t be the target of the investigation. His performative, process-is-the-punishment legal action against the journalist and her magazine is in the form of a civil suit.
