This reminds me, as much of Trump's ecosystem does, of a 3rd grade recess fight where in this case you have 2 people surrounded by students, and instead of talking to each other they are yelling their insights for the crowds to hear and seeing who gets the most cheers.

They say Americans read at a 7th grade level, I sure wish we could get there again.

You can never know for sure if you were the first human being to ever craft a particular sentence but I’d bet large on the above.

Minimally honest. Good way to put it.

He sounds like an eight year old kid that didn't get what he wanted for Christmas. 😠

Trump did promise all of that stuff but every politician promises a lot of stuff. That's just politics. The fact of the matter is that neither Trump nor Harris nor Biden nor Newsom nor Vance nor anybody else who you elect is going to give you anything. It is just the way it is. But that's always been the way it is.

Suddenly Trump is just like all the other politicians? His followers have been telling us for years how he's completely different and everything has changed and he's overthrown the old order, and he has no reason to be corrupt as he's already a gazillionaire and he's looking out for the common man and all the rest of it.

Now, it's fine and we have no need to worry as it's always been like this.

That argument is sounding more and more lame. Just because previous politicians lied sometimes, it's not OK to lie all the time. Every major politician did something so bad it was unprecedented at the time at least once. But it's different if a politician does this every day. Degree matters. It's not the same.

It's not just that he lied. The avoidance of foreign wars was central to his platform and his America First philosophy and his condemnation of the neo-cons.

Now, out of the blue we've always been at war with Eastasia.

The problem is that it's easy to make promises but when you have the job it gets more complicated. If indeed the Iranian nuclear threat wasn't taken out last summer and if indeed they were still enriching uranium then Trump did the right thing (that is if the threat was removed or vastly diminished this time around.) If Iran gets the bomb I'm pretty sure they will use it and it will be a true horror show--not just gas going up a couple of dollars. The Middle eastern neighbors are not unhappy with what Trump is doing. Iran without the bomb is huge problem in that area of the world. With the bomb they will destroy Israel and also take out a lot of other countries that don't see Allah as the truly kind benevolent god that the Iranians see him as. In a lot of ways this is a 11th century religious war that has been smoldering for hundreds of years except the ante has been raised by the bomb. And yea, we've always been at war with Iran or at least since 1979.
