Tomorrow night the crew gets to see a total solar eclipse while watching from the dark side of the moon. No human has ever seen this. What amazing pictures I hope this results in.

      I’m sure they will.

Loss of signal confirmed. Beautiful words prior to it. Hope to hear from them in about 40 minutes. Really cool to see the crescent Earth in the distance as it “earth set” behind the moon’s horizon. Can’t wait for the HD video and pics that will be uploaded eventually.

No doubt about it, this mission has brought us all a level of positive intensity amid everything else that is confronting us with the opposite.

Agreed. It’s obvious but still, seeing the earth as a small partially sunlight marble puts things in perspective every time.

Exactly. This is what humanity should be focusing on. Remember "ain't gunna study war, no more."

Hahaha yes no kidding! It’s also a bit wild but I guess practical, the cameras on the solar panel that we are watching is just a GoPro feeding its video via WiFi to the capsule, which is then sending us the video. GoPro! WiFi!

I wonder if they were able to capture images of the Apollo 12 and 14 landing sites…?

                            That is hilarious.

Also, hard to not get choked up on this one. The astronaut who lost his wife in 2020 has a moon feature named after her.
