I don't think we've seen a single snowflake in Seattle so far this winter.

        I’m shoveling knee-high snow.

Not a drift, that how high it is.

Admittedly, my knees are lower than yours but I think ours is higher. They're saying 33".

I have an awful feeling that I live in a mini snow-belt.

Wow. That’s an impressive amount of snow. Go slow with the shovelling. Or just wait it out if you can. Heart attacks can and do happen.

The only thing keeping me shoveling was the hope that I'd have a heart attack and get to spend a month in bed.

I probably shouldn't tempt fate - I've got a fair bit left to do tomorrow.

I’m pretty good at stopping every couple of minutes to catch my breath. I’ve got another hour or so to do tomorrow. Today I did the front walk, tomorrow I’ll dig the car out from the tip of the driveway. I purposely didn’t put it in the garage because that would mean shoveling the entire driveway. Next year iim getting a snow blower.

Snow blowers are great, but if the snow is heavy enough it clogs it quickly. Still, better than back breaking shoveling, but the best snow is the very dry and fluffy snow when temp is near zero. Also storage space (and keeping stale gas out) can be a PITA. But again... better than breaking your back during a blizzard. Good workout though!

I don’t know how legal this is for you folks, but up here when our culdesac got hit hard and heavy (& the city wasn’t doing anything for us), all us neighbors pitched in and hired our own guy with a snow plow to do the street. We especially needed to clean up the exits from our driveways. Cash worked.
