How's the snow?
-
It's quite a bit worse than the last one. I went out to shovel 10 minutes ago, took a look and decided it wasn't worth it. It looks like there's about 3 feet in our driveway due to drifting, it's coming down hard and the wind is a complete bastard.
It's 24 degrees, but the 'feels-like temperature' on my app just says 'Stalingrad'. Apparently it's going to snow until 6pm, at which point it's going to get really, really windy.

We’ve had 16” so far with a little less than 2 more coming though it’s supposed to be done at 2pm.
What makes it worse than last time is most of it came overnight. Last time I could shovel every few hours to keep it manageable but this time I’ll be going out with a shovel attacking a foot and a half of snow.
Some photos. Not very clear because my screens have snow stuck on them.
I used that grill Saturday night.

Wow. Impressive snowfall.
It hit 18 degrees here yesterday and we didn't bother putting the heating on. We have crocus showing colour@AndyD said in How's the snow?:

It's actually quite unpleasant.

Wow ya'll got walloped more than I even expected. Depending on future temps over the next 72 hours, you might be better off just shoveling later as it melts with the sun. If you expect freezing rain of any sort, I'd highly suggest shoveling out at least a basic path to walk/drive so it doesn't become ice-crete. Either way, that is clear and present heart attack snow, be careful!

@jodi here is my view right now. I actually just went out about a half hour ago and installed that green bird feeder (really hard to see in the picture, it's left of the bluebird birdhouse which is used by every bird except blue birds... mostly black capped chickadees and woodpeckers later in the spring).

Our office just closed for the second straight day. I think it's the first time in 23 years they've done that.

Well, it could be worse....... or maybe not. LOL
Scenes from the 1888 NY blizzard. (Note: I did not take these. 555)
New York City and the East Coast are preparing for another historic storm, but at least they won’t have to rely on horse-drawn carriages to clear all the white stuff.
