Just dropped My Favorite Redhead off at the airport. I swear every moron in town was in the departures area. Half in and out of lanes, opening doors without looking, this SUV tried to shoehorn himself in to the right of my car, almost hitting her.

Jeez. I would have thought it would not be as bad Saturday morning but I guess that's amateur hour.

The trick is to drop off at arrivals, and arrive at departures. (True story... at MSP, anytime we ever, ever, pick up anyone who has arrived into town, we tell them to go up 2 floors to the departure level at the very end, it's always so much quieter and calmer.

@89th Agree 1000% (though I always do departures for both pickup and drop-off). And always pick up/drop off at the far end/last door of the terminal. Makes it easier to exit after doing so and usually less traffic at the end.

In NY nobody picks people up from the airport. It would be the rudest imposition to ask or expect it. I’d sooner ask someone to shovel my driveway.

When my ex girlfriend’s dad and his wife would visit from Romania, I’d send them a black car, but there’s no way I’d pick them up.
