    RIP.

I remember running into him at O’Hare in 91 or so. Asked his if he’d be running again, he just winked.

Sounds like Trump had some nice words to say about him, though I haven’t seen the whole quote.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Whether you liked him or not, he made an impact in this world.

Trump had some nice words to say about himSELF.

          FIFY 🙂

Actually he was pretty good. Very right place at the right time but he was a real sign of hope for the Black community that they might succeed in national politics. I don't think he would have been a bad President.

I remember a poignant scene of him with a tear running down his face at a rally in Chicago celebrating Obama’s inauguration. They may have had their issues interpersonally or politically, but seeing the first black president be inaugurated clearly had an impact on him.

IIRC he was crying because Obama is also white.

Oh, it impacted the whole country. Nobody will ever forget that poignant and hopeful five minutes. Until reality set in that it didn't matter and nothing was going to change simply because POTUS had a certain amount of melanin.
