I wonder how many still check in but don’t post. I go through phases of not posting, but I usually check in regularly to see what’s up.

He played Ravel’s Noctuelles at my house once.

That’s well up there on the difficulty scale.

I was just reminded that he killed himself by locking himself up in the garage with the car running.

There is a marked difference between Piano World's Coffee Room and the two major split forums. By now many if not most of us have met each other IRL. That. Changes. Everything.

I'd love to meet Xenon when we get to Olympia, Jodi if I ever get back to Montana and Renauda when we fly into Calgary to go to Canmore. Horace next time i go to New Braunfels. (all potential participants can decline without offending me)

My TNCR bucket list included having a whisky with George (accomplished), dinner at Jolly’s, a Steelers/Bengals game with you (doesn’t need to actually be at the game), a strip club with Jon, and a weekend in Mexico with Frank W…

If you plan it right, you could do all 3 of those things at once!

I’m in. I even have a favorite strip club in Mexico.

I miss everyone who doesn’t post. I wish George and Jolly would just pop in to say hi. I can’t comment on subjects I know little about, but I do read most of what people write and link to, and this often sends me googling to learn more. I’m pretty thankful for TNCR. It’s way more interesting than my quilting forums.

Yeah it's quite a unique gem. Couldn't imagine the internet without it, for me, at least. I get most of my news from here, have learned a ridiculous amount, both academically, practically, and emotionally from those older wiser than me. There is a solid list, but there are folks like @mik who's advice with (whatever... life, fixing things) I have rarely seen to be incorrect. Really cool.

It's also a mind trip to think of the life events we've seen or discussed.... the marriages, the kids (some now adults), the divorces, the tragedies (e.g., Peggy's daughter in law), the sockpuppets, the TNCR running jokes...
