DOGE? Maybe they did, I wasn't sure if DOGE was even still around, honestly. Not sure who uncovered each fraud scheme, I feel like 60 minutes has a good piece on this every now and then, whether it's medicare fraud in florida or wherever. I know the Feeding Our Future scandal was discovered in 2022, and like 75 folks were arrested over it.
My comment about DOGE wasn't meant to be an insult, I meant finding fraud and abuse...these social programs that are being looted are great places to start for that, and not the shenanigans DOGE tried to pull earlier this year with false claims of victories.

That's ridiculous. How do you know they didn't identify these schemes to begin with or serve as the catalyst that led to it?

I think we can know that. Elon would have bragged about it either then or now.
Plus the bulk of it was from a pandemic era program that ended in 2022. I’m pretty sure doge was more focused on cutting current and future spending. What backwards-looking investigation they did do was focused on justifying the termination or reduction of ongoing programs.
