I’m finding the urge to harass dumbass commentators difficult to ignore.

For instance, somebody replied on Instagram to a video of a young lady playing a Yamaha S6X: “Yamahas sound like 💩. She should play a real piano.”

The reply that I have ready to send, but haven’t yet?

Another guy replied “Yamaha = 🏍️, not pianos”

I have 2 replies ready and am trying to decide between:

    1. “So, on the Yamaha builds wonderful pianos side we have: Glenn Gould, Miriam Conti, Berklee College of Music, Peabody Conservatory, Juilliard, and thousands more. On the Yamaha = Motorcycle side we have Gustavr77. Thank you for weighing in!”

Or 2) “When your mom said she loves riding Yamahas, she wasn’t talking about the bikes…”

Great responses, but fighting social media idiocy is like trying to punch a wave.

89th speaks sooth. You would be casting pearls before swine.

Of course, that kind of negates the history of TNCR, but still.

I lurk on a guitar gear website. It's quite entertaining watching the company reps trying to resist the urge to post with their inner voice. There's a guy who works for Line 6 (owned by Yamaha) who is really helpful and informative, but I have to say it's probably just a matter of time before he flips.

              I was only joking

I’m considering going the Wendy’s route.

The problem is, if you actually get known for these brilliant responses, then you’re only going to get tested more. People will want to take you on…

Though I did make a pretty snarky reply to this guy that was crude towards one of the young ladies that work for me.
