Auto makers ditching Apple and Android car play?

My 2014 accord doesn't have it and I don't miss it. I have had some nightmare tech support experiences with my mom, trying to get her luxury vehicle to pair with her iPhone. And the process with rental cars is also always unpleasant.

I take advantage of CarPlay when it works without too much trouble, otherwise I fallback to putting/attaching my iPhone onto the dash and get on as if CarPlay has never existed. -
They'll have to pry CarPlay out of my cold, dead hands.
I'm never going back to listening to American radio stations. It's no wonder you chaps shoot one another so much.

I don’t actually use CarPlay, just connect via Bluetooth… But that being said, having watched Karla use Android Auto, it sucks and are basically all Google Apps, anyway…
Still, it seems like the easier solution is negotiating data sharing.
that’s if you return your car at all Jon!
