True story. At the kitchen counter the other day she said "I think I'm a boy".

    No joke.

So I thought to myself WWHD? (@Horace)

Srsly though, she said she thought this because she likes to chase butterflies during recess and other girls like to just stand and talk. She also said her handwriting isn't as tiny as how small some girls write in her class.

I think we'll cancel any transition consultations for now.

Yeah, probably nothing but a whole lot scarier than it would have been 50 years ago. You never know who else she might be talking to and what idiocy they might promote.

True. My son just yesterday said something like "We can't get married dad! Boys have to marry girls!" and I was like.... DAMN RIGHT SON!

BTW - my daughter later said she's not a boy because she likes to chase butterflies but the boys always just try to catch and kill them LOL

My universal advice for all situations, is to not leave the house.

What to do during a house fire is negotiable, reasonable people can disagree.

            Education is extremely important.

Now, imagine she said this at school during recess to the substitute teacher, who graduated from Macelester College in St. Paul two years ago and is all full of Social Justice vigor. That teacher says “That’s wonderful, ……….! Let’s see if there are other things… Do you like cars?”

Two years later, they’re giving your daughter chest binders ….

Lovely vision, isn't it? That's one thing that gets me... most of the kids "thinking they're trans" is just associate with characteristics (looks, hobbies, personality) associated with the traditional feminine or masculine stereotype and nothing with actual physical dysmorphia.
