@jon-nyc There was a story going around that the father had talked the kid into turning himself in. That’s evidently not the case. That’s what I was referencing.

Can you call high security prisoners in jail? Maybe she's calling his cell.

The investigation seems pretty easy compared to other high profile assassinations. Video of him going to and from the event, DNA at the scene and on the rifle, his car, posting on discord denying but joking about how it looks like him... I thought the reports were his father asked him about it and told him to talk to the minister, who then called the cops. Either way, it will be interesting once the full picture is clear....especially the 24 hours before, and 48 hours after, the shooting and how he ended up in the southwest part of the state when he was caught. In general, he seems like a normal kid that went off his rocker at college and probably still is a bit of a mental case now while in custody.

Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin wrote a note saying he planned to “take him out”, Kash Patel, the FBI director, has said.
In an interview with Fox News, Mr Patel said the note, allegedly written by Tyler Robinson, read: “I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”

The 22-year-old suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing appears to have confessed to friends in an online chat shortly before turning himself in to law enforcement, according to two people familiar with the chat and screenshots obtained by The Washington Post.
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” said a message from an account belonging to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, on the online platform Discord. “It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this.”
The message was sent Thursday night, about two hours before officials said Robinson was taken into custody. -
Not sure any reasonable person still doubts this, but the evidence is currently overwhelming that his politics were standard issue pop culture hatred of the right.

Seems to me as good a reason as any to deny under 30 self proclaimed left leaning white males Second Amendment rights to purchase and own firearms. Crooks, Mangione and, now, Robinson have proven that demographic has not yet reached the maturity or personal accountability to posses or have unsupervised access to firearms. Unlike “normal white males” of that age group, it is possible their frontal lobes are experiencing an undiagnosed form of arrested development. Just a thought.

Oh I would just love seeing our friends on the "conservative" right try out suggesting that one on the "liberal" left.

Actually, the NRA recently made clear their opposition to gun bans for transgender people. I don't know if anybody seriously floated that, but the NRA wanted to be clear about their position.
Education is extremely important.

Tell that to the current POTUS. He imagines a lot about not only people but countries and what he imagines the people in those countries say and do.
I will refrain from any comments or observations the POTUS has made recently about groups of people and their real and imagined affiliations of a US domestic nature.

The obvious difference between my flight of fancy and those of The Greatest Living Human and his followers is that I acknowledged that it was a flight of fancy.
Maybe if I'd stated that it was an Alternative Fact it would be more acceptable.

Lots of answers here. Planned it for a week. Was gay and dating his male (transgender turning into a girl) roommate, turned liberal, didn’t like Charlie’s “hate”. Mostly concerned about getting to his rifle before the cops could find it.
