    This is quite unusual for a wild frog. Normally, they flee from any threat, and a human is always considered a threat. Her level of trust is such a surprise. Is it possible that personality traits are genetic even for frogs? She's so much like Jurgi, and he has been gone for several years.

      And the answer is ...

      Yes! Personality traits are considered to be genetic among the frogs studied.

      Ona could have inherited her sweet personality from Jurgi, with the assumption that Jurgi created offspring while he was here several years. Knowing he had Jade and Emmy, his two lady frog friends with him most nights, he could have several descendants in the neighborhood.

      I hope so!

        That's awesome. We're progressing nicely with Cosmo. She's a very confident, adventurous cat, but Stella and Luna are very perplexed about why there is a kitten on our deck and why we are associating with it. Every day Cosmo gets a little more friendly.

              Thatโ€™s wonderful! On our end, Iโ€™m afraid the monkey Karla brought home 6 years ago is not acclimating well, and Iโ€™m going to have to start exploring rehoming him.

                  @Mik They'll be friends soon.
                  We had two male cats many years ago, two brothers. One died, and the other one, the more skittish one, had to deal with the pair of female cats we adopted for kiddo's sixth birthday. The older male was terrified of them.

                  It took a while, but one day I walked into our bedroom and found all three cuddled together napping. That poor old boy never got completely comfortable about playing with the girls, especially the bigger girl. She was a real bruiser, built like a tank, and he was quite small by comparison.

                  It's fun to see their relationships develop. Fingers crossed that they all become buddies.

                      This is important info for a Minnesoooooota dad like you.

                      There could be frogs in your future, even pet frogs. I recommend gray tree frogs.
