That doesn’t answer the question. The reason it went down in SF was a near revolution kicking the progressives out of law enforcement.

Oh totally. My point is Trump's use of the military, humvees, machine gunes, and MRAPs... a little late to the party. The trend started like 2 years ago for most places, including DC.

In THE political town, you can manufacture whatever narrative you want and find select groups to support that narrative. I can tell you that I know A LOT of people that are happier in DC. We’re planning a day at the zoo and museums next week, and Karla and I are going to a show.

The people that I personally know that are bitching about it? All live in gated townhome and apartment communities in Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Bethesda….

Yeah but do the gates have machine guns on top?

In October my next work trip might let me visit the zoo and some museums as well, and I'm looking forward not getting mugged unlike the zero times I was mugged when I used to visit DC weekly while running, or at the zoo, or at a museum or walking around the Capitol, or walking to the Nats games, or coming out of the bars, or leaving the Caps game, or taking photos at night. I look forward to the stream of zero assaults continuing, thanks to the military and their tanks!

It's all about the messaging. Criminals need to be much more afraid of getting caught and punished.

Agreed, personally I'm looking forward to the gallows making a comeback.

He raises a very good point about the attrition police forces experienced nationally after the Floyd fiasco and the resulting difficulty of attracting new candidates.

Wow, a Heritage Foundation Fellow wrote an opinion piece supporting a Trump action!

Really, it's only Black on Black crime. Should we care? Well, it seems President Trump cares. (Probably for the wrong reason--but he cares.) All good.

And that's why Trump is President and Kamila is some "Mrs." somewheres.
