I’ve rented cars hundreds of times and never got charged for a ding or anything else. Plus, if you want me to pay for something, you find it before I walk away.

I always decline the insurance but when the boy and I went to Portugal 3 years ago for some reason I didn’t.

And on that trip I backed into a pole in an underground parking garage.

Hertz once tried to charge me for some kind of supposed ding. I queried it, because I hadn't done anything that could have caused it, and that was the last I heard. At the time it felt like a bogus attempt to make a bit of extra money.

My extremely important opinion here is I travel about 5-6 times per year and I have found renting from Alamo has been a consistently good experience. One time I had to use Budget or another company and it was t3h sux0rs.
