So who would they be calling since they have your phone? A friend?

LOL. I actually have a couple of numbers. Separate Thai cell phone, land line phone, email.

The one time it could of come in handy, it didn't. 555 I was riding a bicycle on Bang Kachao (called the "green lung" of BKK. cool place but that is another story. https://www.thethailandlife.com/bang-krachao )

and did not know I dropped my phone. Of course I did not have my other phone. I rode my bicycle back on the route I had just taken and found the people who had found the phone. They actually had tried calling the other numbers, so maybe I would have eventually gotten it back.

Mine is actually my "business card" with a caption that if the phone is found, please call or text XXX number. Actually pretty boring.

My lock screen wall paper also has a phone number and an email address that whoever finds my phone can contact. 🙂

Here's another question, do you lock your phone? Do you have a case?

Apparently I am a psycho as mine is unlocked (it locks after 8 hours, I think?) and no case. It's an iPhone 12, so I've had it like that for a good 4+ years.

I have to lock mine as work pays for it and it's required. I have a case - Otterbox heavy duty thing.

              I was only joking

I guess mine doesn't lock automatically. I have an inobtrusive plastic case, which has done the job of preventing screen damage in my many, many drops.

                    Auto lock with case.
I also have the habit of manually pushing the power button whenever I put the phone down. So in practice, my phone locks most of the time because I manually pushed the power button.

Mine locks after a certain period of time (not sure what the time length is). Also has a case. Feels too skinny with out one.

Screenlock is of wife when fiancé in 1990

I started using leather wallet cases about five years ago, which protect better and hold credit cards.
Autolock in 1 minute; like Ax I switch off power myself.

I got a Samsung galaxy 10note+ and use the note function almost daily.

Doesn’t the leather wallet case mean you can’t charge with MagSafe?

I always thought smart phones in close contact with credit cards would neutralize/demagnetize the cards. Has the technology changed so that doesn’t occur any longer?

Increasingly, credit cards use microchips rather than magnetic strips to communicate to the card readers. Demagnetization is not much of a concern for credit cards if you don’t use the magnetic strips anymore.

                                  My cards are not affected.

Those charging pads work but are slow compared to a dedicated plug in wire, or usb wire-in which we have on our sockets (my wife informs me)
