Sorry to disappoint! I just saw a new video of it. It will be interesting to find out the cause. To a novice, it looks like it was "too heavy" it got about 100 ft off the ground then slowly descended until the ball of fire. I'm guessing the pilots as soon as it took off had the engines on full max power but couldn't get the lift... either a weight issue or flaps. Who knows. Boeing, tho.

I did hear 1 person survived (an exit row gent from the UK?) no idea if that is true or how it's even possible.

Here's the lone survivor. Was traveling with his brother.

I haven't seen any birds but it seems both engines failed, big bird strike maybe? But again... hard to see.

I keep hearing that the landing gear was down (should have been retracted at that altitude) and the wings looked like no flaps (which certainly should not have been the case)

Obviously not the same circuitry as the engines, but here is a video from someone on same plane 2 hours before the doomed flight route, the AC and the electronics were not working in the cabin:

This guy does a pretty good job after most airplane incidents analyzing what happened. In this case, he is guessing, a few days ago he thinks maybe it was as simple as the copilot raising the flaps instead of the landing gear and at 600 feet that is fatal, although others point out the two handles do not look alike nor are they next to each other. That was his best guess other than the general reasons of engine failure or stall for whatever reason.

In this latest video, he points out something call the RAT. And when he first plays the raw video footage, I have to admit the first thing I heard was... nothing. Almost like it was a glider or a prop plane. He explains why.

Tl;dw: he now thinks it was dual engine failure.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Initial records show fuel lines were shut off after take off. Pilots saw this but were confused (I’m guessing electrical issue?) restarted an engine but it was too late.

The evidence almost makes it worse because... who would do this, but would they? Did they? Is it a false electrical record? The switches were turned off, one second after the other (indicating a human turning one off, then the other) then 8 seconds later or so, the switches being turned back on, one after the other.
