For Trump it’s just another Schrödinger’s joke, he means it and he doesn’t.
My title is about Graham. But I guess he’s always enjoyed being in the gimp suit after all.

You're falling for trolling.
Now, whether presidents and senators should be trolling to begin with is another matter. I much prefer measured, sincere and thoughtful communication. Color me Romney.

I think you’re not taking into account the extent to which Trump demands constant flattery and the extent to which the GOP is happy to comply.

It's likely the Vatican has already contacted Mr. Trump with the job offer.
They just have to work out a schedule. I wonder if he will wait until after his term as president.

I predict quantities of brown smoke issuing from the Vatican shortly, followed by somebody saying 'Duuuuude, how would it be if, like, we, you know, like, nominated Donald Trump.....?'

Then followed the Great Schism which lasted forty years during which there were as many as three popes/antipopes at a time between Rome and Avignon. The mess was never really sorted out until 1417 when Martin V was elected pope and accepted by all parties at the Council of Constance.
Perhaps the time has come to repeat The Papal Babylonian Captivity all over again?
