False prophets might be God's way towards truth.

Even tougher pool would be "when @LuFins-Dad stopped thinking 'this is still better than the alternative.'"

One side said it was to celebrated if a boy chemically castrated himself and then had his penis mutilated and inverted,
That’s going to be really fucking hard for the other side to beat…

Not likely and I am, by no means, a person of any theological or biblical credibility whatsoever. In fact, I think somewhere in the Gospel of Matthew (if I recall my grade catechism school correctly) it specifically warns people not to follow false prophets. Mind you, I think the caution anticipated the future advent of Baptist preachers and other literalist snake oil clerics.

Certainly, no one has done more for zoroastrianism than Teh Donald.
As a young man he would wander lower Manhattan wearing a mask, and carve the sign of the 'Z' with his little sword in the name of Zoroastroturf.

I don’t think that could happen to anyone so psychologically committed to the cult of MAGA even if things get much worse, say a collapse of the dollar and significant stagflation. I think in general the two possible outcomes would be to minimize or excuse the disaster (I can already imagine how that would sound) or to slink away from the forum to minimize cognitive dissonance.

In fairness, self-sufficient homesteaders who've always prioritized that, are proven prescient if economic catastrophe strikes, even if it's their guy who did it.

Had to think about this for a day.
Trump may be right. He has virtually everyone outside of his cult discipleship, praying to God that he drops dead as soon as heavenly possible.
