Anybody who saw Trump’s post that it was a good time to buy, might have put two and two together.

I heard someone say the jump a few minutes before the spike was the result of the 10-year bond auction or something (I have no idea), but otherwise is a good way to hide the activity.

Fair point, however I never got the feeling that previous administrations deliberately crashed the market. This time, it's not so clear.
