I like how ducks don't bother with a nest. Wherever they happen to be waddling around that day, sure, that's a good place to dump a baby.

There was a sad incident with our dog finding the nest and breaking two eggs. There are six still. I was surprised the mom still accepted the nest after that, but she was unphased.
Duck eggs are supposed to hatch after a month, so we should be close.
