Turns out, the left is selling nothing Gen Z is buying. That's a shame.

Blaming the messenger this time is reasonable, as Robbie here does. He blames the socially repulsive messengers of leftist ideology. I guess it's only possible to evolve into that level of mainstream repulsiveness, if you're incubated in some kind of protected bubble. Like maybe they used to have credible weapons of social shaming over any little political difference, and now, those weapons are rendered less and less effective due to cultural shifts. When bullies get weak, they get run over.

Nothing a few reasonable messengers can't fix, though. Maybe. They'll have to divest themselves of the miserably neurotic educated white female contingent. Good luck with that.

This is in line with one of Paul Graham’s themes from that excellent essay. Young folks never align themselves with the prigs. In days gone by you had the freedom loving hippies on the left vs the buttoned up republicans with their church lady wives on the right. For the youth vote, no contest.

Now the ‘church ladies’ (think SNL and Gilda Radner) are the language police and Halloween costume police on the left.

Not only Paul Graham, I've been saying that here for years. That the cultural conservatives are on the left. That the psychological phenotype of the middle aged educated progressive white women, is that of the church ladies of the past.

Yeah that the woke women are the new church ladies is often noted. The psychology behind it is unchanged likely for eons but first showed up in politics in the prohibition movement. (Not earlier as they had no political power).

Fewer have commented on how young people find that naturally repellant.

Notice the last Tampon Tim rally/town hall... I didn't see anybody 30-ish or below in the crowd shots.

I doubt that. But I was saying it before it was often noted, in any case.

I've also noted that young people find it repulsive. It would be a rare thing for you to come across a cultural insight in your twitter feed, that I haven't already had. You should read more of my posts, they are pretty awesome.

Your collection of insights from your twitter feed is difficult to compete with, but I've been noticing and pondering culture since before the internet. Since before I knew that culture was the primary thing to think about, if you wanted to understand anything about humans.

I'm sure that's your truth. Actually, I'm sure you're trolling, and you expect this bit of absurdity to bother me (to indulge your sadism, as trolls do). But careful not to betray some narcissism in the trolling attempt. Jon 1.0 hid that better, though the sadism and contempt for others was always obvious. Midwits gonna mid, and they can't hide forever.

Was there really a Jon 1.0? Or did the two versions of Horace view Jon differently? Did Jon really go from the master of practical wisdom to the paper-thin midwit? Or is that just the story you told yourself?

You're functionally intelligent, I've never taken that away from you. Even from the surface level of understanding you may have for my posts, I've never taken that away from you.
